5 Tips To Style A Mexican Table….It’s Fiesta time!!

“Life without Mexican food is like no life at all!”

It’s the most perfect time of the year to share some spicy food and have some Fiesta fun with friends.

Thought I would share some Mexican styling ideas. My inspiration came from sharing a fabulous afternoon with my sister at a Mexican Restaurant in Durban North’s Mackeurtan Avenue, called El Toro Tapas & Tequila – definitely worth a visit if you want a good Mojito, great vibe & food and a little R & R!! http://www.eltoro.mobi/home

BASIC ITEMS TO STYLE YOUR TABLE:

  • Some bright tableware
  • Bright coloured table runners
  • Margarita glasses
  • Simple centerpieces
  • A menu to excite (keep an eye out for my next blog with ideas on simple food ideas to serve for a Mexican Fiesta!

I am sure we all have those bright dishes that we have bought over the years that are probably packed away in a corner of a kitchen cupboard.  My philosophy use what you have and don’t rush out and buy unless necessary. A Fiesta is all about the mix of colour and texture – so anything goes as long as it’s bright and colourful. Mrphome is always a good outlet when you looking for simple and inexpensive homeware to help style your gatherings.
